A Happy New Year!

January 1, 2009 3 comments

Hi All,

A Happy New Year! This is Hiroshima, where my parents live. Yes, Hiroshima is my home. I went to see the first sunrise of the year. Because the first sunrise of the year is happy symbol for Japanese people, we try to see the first sunrise. We enjoyed Xmas as a big event of end of the year, but “New Year’s Holidays” is really the traditional event for us.

The mountain that I took this picture is Mt. Furutakayama in Etajima Island. This mountain is not famous for Japanese people, but residents in the island love this mountain.

Many mountain hikers climbed this mountain early morning, to see the first sunrise. All of them are Hiroshima People. Therefore, all of them is Hiroshima Toyo Carp (Baseball Team) Funs. We wished Carp’s victory to the sunrise.

2009 is an important year for me. My company will be very busy in this year, because my team will release a new video game. I will have to concentrate to write programs from spring to fall. Meanwhile I wish to commit to two free software projects.

Plus, I want to go to next GDC. But, when next GDC is holding, we will be very busy. So I want to go to GDC 2010. For that, I will learn English more and more, in this year.

mac mini came to home instead of iMac

December 29, 2007 1 comment

It’s a long story.

I have a friend who work at the electronics store. He is from the same province as me and is the same Carp fun as me. This winter, the poor baseball team came into a boil. Two star athletes considered leaving from the Carp by using FA. I discussed it with him.

I: “I believe Mr. Arai and Mr. Kuroda. They will decide to remain.”

He: “Impossible. They are in two minds. It means that they don’t have the reason why they remain. They will leave from the Carp. So the Carp will be end.”

I: “They are really hero of Hiroshima, so they will decide to remain and will become the winner as a player of the Carp at the next season. Bet your butt. If Arai or Kuroda will go, I will buy high-price computer from your store. But if both of them will remain, I will buy nothing from your store next year.”

And, both of them have gone. There is no justice in the world.

By this promise, I had to buy a computer with 200,000 JPY and greater. I promised him to buy iMac with 198,000 JPY and went to his prefecture. However, he said that his store can not handle Apple products. “Tell me first!”

Instead of iMac, I had to buy something as much as 200,000 JPY, to keep faith with him. Such electrical appliances are few. My choice was sony HDD/Blu-ray recorder. After a few days, I bought a new mac mini to exchange with PowerPC mac mini/XP, because my budgets were slashed.

This new mac mini has enough CPU to better my life, but the graphics spec is GMA 950 and only shared 64MB VRAM. The shader model of GMA 950 is 2.0, but it doesn’t have VertexShader and emulates it with software. For not less than a year, I can’t pursue GPU programing in my home, because I’m too busy from next month to March 2009. So the poor GPU spec will not be a big problem. But I’m sorry that I can’t play rich PC games like Crysis.

What is that!? That’s the mail-order shopping from CARP!

Open!

Carp umbrella!

It looks like cloudy. Come on rain!

Carp hoodie!

Kuroda! Kuroda is our hero, but he will leave from Carp and will go to Dodgers.
Therefore, I bought this T-shirts.

Those are my treasure.

Bit, how do I handle this?
Arai ditched us and was traded to another rich team by using FA.

I watched a baseball game in Hiroshima Citizen Stadium, last night. The game is Carp VS Dragons. My friends also came to the stadium, with his parents. Yesterday’s game was really nice game. Many players made many chances, and excellent players saved these well with big play. There were such offense and defence many times. Lastly, Carp won!

Mickey

Mickey is the first dog in a history of Japan. He is a member of Carp, and receives many baseball funs’ love. I saw Micky was walking before I entered the stadium, by chance.

He had finished his work perfectly. Very cute! But, in the fact, he is from police dog. Bowhow!

Big Jet Balloon

Baseball fans in Japan can use Jet Ballon in some stadiums which give approval:

But, I watched a strange balloon:

What is that!?

Yokohama Monster Ball

July 15, 2006 Leave a comment

Sorry I took in a baseball game, in the Yokohama stadium. And, I saw the monster ball before the game.

Excuse me, what is that? I had never seen the monster until now. When I came to this stadium in May, the monster didn’t show up.

It seems that he is at outs with the black bear who is also the mascot. They always fight. I think that the black bear might be stronger than the ball monster because the bear can punch and kick. The ball monster can do dance only… But, they gave as good as one gets.

In the half time, the dance team had been dancing for supporters. But, the ball monster and the black bear had been fighting around the dance team…

Look at that! That’s the sitting style. It’s just a big ball…

P.S.
The Maeda in the training time:

He and Arai and Kurihara played good! They got 3 scores from 2 outs with their combination. At the end part of this game, The Maeda was given an intentional walk, because he was more excellent than usual. But, Carp lost..

Exciting game! Carp vs Dragons

July 1, 2006 Leave a comment

Today’s game of Carp VS Dragons was ding-dong struggle and very exciting. Tom_G3X who is a member of the XOOPS Cube team, had invited me to these games in Nagoya. But, I could not take this weekend off, because my works are very busy. Tom_G3X is the supporter of Chunichi Dragons.

Carp has a lot of games that fight between one point difference, recently. There were such nine games in recently 11 days. Supporters of Carp may need to take a stomach powder for watching games.

Today’s game was very exciting as well as yesterday’s game which Carp played to a draw. Both team were good. And, Carp won. Because Tom_G3X went to the stadium to watch this game, he had to watch the defeat of Dragons. But, I think that this game was very exciting for supporters of Dragons also. I had wanted to watch the game together.

And now, supporters of Carp who live in Tokyo, can go to watch a lot of games this month.
